School of Health Professions 

Congratulations to Sandra Anne Billinger, PT, MS’04, PhD’08, FAHA, who has been named the 2014 Margaret L. Moore Award for Outstanding New Faculty Member by the American Physical Therapy Association. Read more.

 
School of Medicine


The KU School of Medicine has received the results of its recent accreditation review. The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) awarded the school full accreditation for the next eight years, which is the most number of years possible for re-accreditation. Read more.

New Rankings for KUMC

The 2015 U.S. News rankings are out and the University of Kansas Medical Center has much to celebrate.

The KU School of Health Professions continued to demonstrate its excellence, with four programs in the top 20 among all schools (public and private):
  • #5 Occupational Therapy master’s and doctorate programs (#2 among public schools)
  • #8 Speech-Language Pathology master’s program (#6 among public schools)
  • #10 Audiology doctorate (#7 among public schools) 
  • #19 Physical Therapy master’s and doctorate (#9 among public schools) 
KU School of Medicine has improved 15 spots overall in both primary care and research. Among all 153 public and private universities in the survey, the KU School of Medicine is now ranked:
  • #22 in Primary Care (#17 out of 86 public schools)
  • #60 in Research (#32 out of 86 public schools) 
The School of Nursing has three programs in the top 50 among all public and private schools:
  • #24 Nursing-Midwifery master’s program (#12 among public schools) 
  • #36 Nursing master’s program (#24 among public schools)
  • #48 Nursing-Anesthesia master’s program (#21 among public schools)
